I always like using my canteeen cup for cooking, plus when you get comfortable with any equiptment its just easier to use. I have had a lot of requests to cook rice, not instant but actual rice, like you would have in your food storage. Being prepared is key. But cooking from your food storages everyday , means when you are in an actual emergency there is no guess work to your life style cause you've been doing it everyday already.
you can enjoy a great dessert even when you're outdoors! this is very good and easy to make - and the recipe is "flexible", so you can adapt it to your preferences and to whatever resorces/ingredients you have available. all you really need is an apple! bon apetit!

Yes, we use store bought noodles for the meals. The cooking time was about 10 minutes for the meal in the vid, and used 2 cups of water. After a long day outdoors there's nothing like a good hot meal to replenish and refuel the body, mind, and spirit. And one of the best ways to prepare a great meal while camping is over the fire using a dutch oven. Of course it's laughable to imagine us hikers and backpackers hauling a cast iron monstrosity over the many miles of trail we generally travel. I wanted to share with you in this video my method for dutch oven cooking which utilizes the lightweight cook pots that most of us already carry as part of our backpacking gear. You can prepare virtually any meal that you would cook using a standard dutch oven and the list of recipes range from simple desserts to substantial meals. In this video I use a simple muffin recipe as an example, but using these same techniques I've baked everything from cornbread with chili to pepperoni pizza (mmmm). Hope you pick something up here that is useful, and I'd love to hear some of the things that you do on your own trips. As always, thanks for watching!
So we set ourselves a personal challenge of staying on Dartmoor with just 10 items. Food/Drink & Clothes were 'free' they didn't count as items, however everything else did! Even your rucksack was 1 item, toilet roll another! - Blog Post about the Trip: www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk

This is one of my camping favorites because spam is easy to take camping. You don't need to worry about it spoiling until you open it and packs away without taking any room in your cooler. Dice up the spam and start frying it up. A camp stove and a pan is all you need. Well a spatula helps too. Ingredients Spam Tortillas Cheese oil (you can use the grease from cooking the spam)
A very quick one pot recipe that is perfect when you're on the road. Using very basic ingredients you can enjoy en energy packed hot meal using just one pan and the simplest of ingredients.
