Dehydrated Chili Meal Great for Camping Hiking Backpacking

In this video we share some thoughts on making a homemade chili meal. Throughout the process, there are options, vegetables used, this pot had onions, green peppers, and lots of diced tomatoes. Meat was another choice, this batch had chicken breast. This chili had 2 types of beans, light kidney and pinto, the combinations on beans alone are plentiful. What seasonings to use? To your own taste. The dehydration process for the meals was 7 1/2 hours at 125-130 degrees. The bowls lost between 12-17 ounces of water in weight. More than we had anticipated. Fortunately, this is cooking, and extreme accuracy is not needed :) Keep in mind, that after dehydrating the chili, many dry ingredients can still be added. This is a great hearty meal for on the trail, hiking or backpacking. Please visit www.usframecrew.com
